As I read further and further into this book, I just love it more. I keep learning more and more about what science has done in the “future.” Apparently, scientists were releasing tons of antibiotics before they passed inspection, and one of them resulted in millions of people dieing from a terrible virus, kind of like the Black Death. Also, Jenna’s dad is the creator of something called BioGel. This blue goo is filled with neurochips smaller than the human cell, but they communicate and learn more, faster. So, I’m guessing Jenna was his experiment, kind of like Charlie Gordon. She’s also, so far, a success, like Charlie, but hopefully her story doesn’t end quite as bad as his.

I was also very pleased because I was right about Ethan and Jenna!! They’re, rather quickly, becoming closer and learning more about each other. I love it!!! Claire, Jenna’s mom, was tormenting her about Ethan being her boyfriend, but Lily flipped out about the thought. Maybe Jenna has a purpose to serve…… yeah, I think that’s it. She was “altered” for some kind of purpose, which is still pretty messed up.
